Distance Degree Validity in India: What You Need to Know
A distance or online degree from a UGC-DEB-approved university is 100% equivalent to a regular degree, for government jobs, higher studies, and MOE / MOFA attestation.
The UGC ruling
In 2020, UGC issued a clear notification (F. No. 1-1/2020) confirming that online and distance degrees from approved universities carry the same legal status as regular degrees.
